ISWA offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) curriculum for our senior students in Years 11 and 12 The Diploma Programme is an internationally recognised qualification for university entrance and allows our graduates to choose to study at tertiary institutions in Australia or overseas.
To ensure both breadth and depth of knowldege and . Students choose three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL) across six different subjects and the IB Diploma Programme is run over two years and students choose three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL) across six different subjects and also complete the core requirements.
Course Guide
The course shown in the table below are offered at both HL and SL unless otherwise stated. Ab inition language courses are for those beginning study of language. Please note that course offerings are subject to maximum and minimum enrollment and that we may alter the courses available depending on demand and capacity.

The IB Core
In addition to the six chosen subjects, three core elements: the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity, Service – are compulsory and central to the philosophy of the IB programme. Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a course that links the academic subject areas as well as transcending them and provides an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of knowledge. The extended essay (EE) is a 4000-word essay that provides the valuable experience of completing a research paper. Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is a programme that involves students in a range of activities alongside their academic studies.
